We are extremely grateful for your commitment and generosity.

What can God do with your gift?

2 Corinthians 9:6-11

A farmer who plants only a few seeds will get a small crop. But the one who plants generously will get a generous crop. You must each decide in your heart how much to give. And don’t give reluctantly or in response to pressure. “For God loves a person who gives cheerfully.” And God will generously provide all you need. Then you will always have everything you need and plenty left over to share with others.

As the Scriptures say, “They that share freely and give generously to the poor Their good deeds will be remembered forever.” For God is the one who provides seed for the farmer and then bread to eat. In the same way, he will provide and increase your resources and then produce a great harvest of generosity in you. Yes, you will be enriched in every way so that you can always be generous. And when we take your gifts to those who need them, they will thank God.

All Tithing, Contributions, and Gifts to The Chapel are handled by our financial team. After they record and review a planned redistribution of funds goes to support the Local Church as well as some needs in the community. The Chapel is a supporter of Domestic & Global missions with monthly gifts that propagate the efforts to get this Gospel message out to the world in word and deed.

Ways to Give

Automated

We encourage you to set up an automated giving schedule to have your “first fruits” go to the Lord every time. Our online giving portal lets you easily set up a recurring gift via your debit card, credit card, or checking account.

Cash or Check

Cash or Checks can be made payable to “The Chapel CT” and dropped off at the church, or mailed to:

“The Chapel”
P.O. Box 310960,
Newington, CT 06131

Stocks & Mutual Funds

Giving appreciated assets – such as stock – often allows you to maximize a gift. Typically, you can receive a tax deduction for the value of the stock on the day it was given, regardless of the cash basis (original purchase price) of the stock. Capital gains taxes are avoided.

Gift of Real Estate

Under certain circumstances, The Chapel accepts gifts of Real Estate. Donating appreciated Real Estate can afford you significant tax advantages while allowing a substantial gift to the Church that avoids capital gains taxes.

Used Vehicle or Boat

To donate your used vehicle or boat, please call us. The Chapel uses a third-party company to sell the vehicle or boat at auction and the proceeds are then returned to the Church. Paperwork to receive a tax deduction for the vehicle will be compiled for you.

Estate Planning

Setting up a well-designed estate plan may protect your loved ones from expensive probate taxes, allowing you to use the savings to leave a legacy gift for the Church. The Chapel partners with Financial Planning Ministries to provide free estate planning services to members of the Church.

Tax-Free IRA

If you are 70 1⁄2 or older, you may now instruct your IRA custodian to transfer any amount up to $10,000 directly to The Chapel. This distribution would not be included in your taxable income (but could fulfill any required minimum distribution requirements) and would not produce an income tax deduction.
